Real Housewives of Dallas Star Kary Brittingham Announces Divorce

Real Housewives of Dallas star Kary Brittingham has officially announced that she and husband Eduardo Brittingham are divorcing after 12 years of marriage. The RHOD cast member made the shocking announcement during part one of the season 5 reunion which aired May 4, 2021. Brittingham released her statement via Instagram stating in a caption "I’ve shared my life and my family with you on camera for the last two years-all of the ups and downs. As we go in to tonight’s episode, I want you to know that Eduardo and I have made the very tough decision to separate".

Brittingham spoke to People Magazine before the RHOD reunion and stated that "it was more of a roommate situation than a marriage" when speaking about her marriage with Eduardo. Brittingham was under fire this season for her often drunken behavior which landed her in hot water with fans and cast members. When asked about her behavior by host Andy Cohen at the reunion, she described that she was "very ashamed of my behavior. My kids saw that. I really regret that".

This was Kary Brittingham's second season on the Bravo show after joining the Dallas cast for season 4 back in 2019.
